Khun Suwan is a female poet from the early Rattanakosin period. Two of her poems – Klon Plaeng Yao Mom Pet Sawan and Klon Plaeng Yao about the Sickness of Princess Apson Sudathep – have characteristics that are different from the typical klon plaeng yao in that these poetic works reflect the way of life of women in the palace, and notably, love stories between women.
