ENITS Project
Empowering Network for International Thai Studies

For more than three decades, several universities in Thailand have established institutes of Thai Studies as their research organizations in the field of Thai Studies. Besides, both government - and private - run universities, including Chulalongkorn University, have also been offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Thai Studies. Furthermore, Thai Studies classes are currently being taught in more than 75 countries. As the proprietors of this field and the main sources of data, universities in Thailand hold a duty and responsibility, on both national and international levels, in securing our world leadership.

The project of Empowering Network for International Thai Studies (ENITS) should hence be initiated to develop such academic potency and excellence in Thai Studies, in order to create sustainable benefits, locally and globally.

Project's Objectives
  • To enhance Thai universities' strength and superiority in the field of Thai Studies on the international level.
  • To develop national and international network, expanding the knowledge base as well as reinforcing its dynamism, for sustainable benefits both locally and globally.
Implementation Plan
  • Building up national and international network.
  • Providing scholarship to enable new researchers in relevant programs of study to publicize their works internationally.
